The client was managing a significant program of work, with multiple project elements; however, existing data and reporting structures were not designed in a way to support efficient project reporting. Existing project reports were lengthy and time-consuming to produce, and Executives did not have consistent visibility of project progress to inform effective decision-making.
Existing reporting processes also heavily relied on manual data input which was inefficient and increased the risk of input errors, and there was an absence of a structured processes to manage change requests.
Elevate provided the Government Department with a streamlined and simplified reporting process that encompassed:
- A formal project reporting procedure, including consistent templates that reduced unnecessary administration for project leads
- Succinct dashboard reports that allowed users the ability to drill-down into more detailed data and information as required
- Automated reporting wherever data and system requirements allowed utilising PowerBI.
As a result of this work, Elevate helped the client to achieve greater executive visibility across projects and the overall program, enhance the consistency and accuracy of reporting, streamline data integration through a single interface, and strengthen compliance and risk management.
